Asda recalls Garlic and Parsley Butter because of undeclared peanut

Asda is recalling Garlic and Parsley Butter, which is provided as an accompaniment on their fish counter, because it may contain very low levels of peanuts that was not displayed at the point of sale to the consumer. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to peanuts.

This product may contain very low level of peanut making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to peanuts. No other Asda products are known to be affected. Asda is recalling the above product from customers and has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall. The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers. This notice explains to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.
